Research and development is carried out in their HQ and, once the purifier has been designed, it is then manufactured in <strong>China<\/strong>.\r\n\r\nPrices for Levoit air purifiers range from $50 to $500.\r\n\r\n<hr \/>\r\n\r\n<strong>CONTROVERSIES\r\n<\/strong>\r\n\r\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\r\n\r\nIn 2023, Levoit's parent company (VeSync) <a href=\"https:\/\/bbbprograms.org\/media\/newsroom\/decisions\/vesync-hepa-air-purifiers\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">voluntarily discontinued the use of the term 'True HEPA' in their advertising<\/a> after being challenged by Dyson in front of the BBB National Programs <a href=\"https:\/\/bbbprograms.org\/programs\/all-programs\/national-advertising-division\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">National Advertising Division<\/a>.\r\n\r\n<strong>What do industry experts say about this?<\/strong>\r\n\r\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph -->\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li><a href=\"https:\/\/mas.to\/@cleanairstars\/111223412139302474\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">CleanAirStars<\/a> clarified that Levoit devices are tested independently under AHAM AC-1 conditions for CADR and this is what matters most. Their data shows that Levoit air purifiers have a higher CADR\/$ and CADR\/dBA than the company issuing the complaint (Dyson).<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Air purifier manufacturer <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/SmartairUk\/status\/1712796495240430042\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Smart Air<\/a> stated that this change doesn't affect the CADR score associated with Levoit units.
